I would like to introduce myself. My name is Janet Treece (Jan). I am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor. I have a Masters Degree In Rehabilitation Counseling and over 30 years of experience in counseling. I have worked for Southern Illinois University, community mental health, domestic violence programs and the private sector. I opened my own private practice 5 years ago to better serve my patients. I have a background in domestic violence, substance abuse, the homeless and education/workplace programs to name a few. After years of working for government funded programs I decided I could best serve the patient and not the funder by going into a business where I did not have to rely on government regulations. I opened my private practice so that the patient became the main focus, not the paperwork.
My office is small and currently I am secretary, billing clerk and janitor as well as counselor. That is why I only work three days a week. I can keep my costs down so that I do not have to charge you so much. I can afford to set competative fees and offer a sliding fee scale for those who do not have insurance.
I work mostly with anxiety disorders and depression. I also do marital and family counseling and work with patients who are attempting to make positive changes in their lives. I offer life coaching for those who fall under this last category.
I am usually able to get you in for your initial appointment within a few days of your call. Since I make my own hours, we can work with your schedule and mine although I do not work late at night or on weekends. Please give me a call and we can discuss appointment times.
